So a very good friend of mine recently just posted a Let's Play FFX-2 to the Let's Play archives, after some discussions we'd had about the FF series in general (this is a RL friend, and we used to talk about the finer points of the FFs we played rather excitedly while he waited on his code to process). So yes, FF nerd engineering students do sit and chat about this sort of stuff in labs when they are in college.

Anyway, if you've ever wanted to get the FFX-2 story with some meta-analysis and gameplay stuff, go and read it. I haven't read the whole thing (because I haven't finished the game yet!) but what I've read has been enjoyable (and reminds me to finish the game).

Also, since it's in an archive now you don't have to read through the forum comments where it used to be housed!

Not that that isn't fun, I just figured it was more complicated that than. I think this cements that Elfe is kind of into jerks, though. What Veld does in Before Crisis concerning Elfe is probably one of the main reasons I love the character and I don't write them interacting often enough.
