So, it's December, so I'm thinking about my New Years Resolution where I said I'd not work on any new projects excluding challenges and the like. And I did good there. I also took a pledge to write 50,000 words for the year and I'm over that.

Some things I think I am abandoning as they currently are (likely to salvage characters and some ideas, but the story as it is has died):

- Imperaxyl
Yeah, I just... find myself not wanting to work on it at all. I would rather just salvage some shit and start fresh. No amount of Tim Gunn "Make It Work" will make it work. Al, Cindy, Valerie, and Vicky will definitely show up in other stuff.

- The Lesbian Detective Story
Great idea, utterly no plot.

- Chasing the Blue Fairy
Can't get the voice right, which annoys the crap out of me. And I've got enough freaking FF7 AUs.

I think I will take shit from all these and finally write the techno-noir I've always wanted to write (like, really, and I think I may be able to come up with the plot now). I will actually OUTLINE shit for once, because I would like to be a better storyteller. I think I'm a decent enough WRITER, but storyteller? Could use work.

Other things are still mostly alive, so I just need to poke them. But I am kind of fatigued from the "nothing new" thing and have realized what I do want to work on. Fanfiction will always be there to fall back on, so I don't count it. XD Fanfiction is like crack candy.

I think I feel better now.
