Notes: The prompt was specifically unromantic, and technically it's not a pairing in this case, but I'm counting it as one. The prompt called for chanbara as an inspiration, and so I ended up with this. Also, I still kind of love the look of Cloud's sword in Kingdom Hearts, even if his outfit is ridiculous. XD This also reminds me of the post-apocalyptic FFVII post-game fic that my ex wanted to write with me, only not full of stupid.

Been meaning to make an FST for purely "old" Veld, and one for Elfe, decided that it would be fun to combine them like a two disc set. So yay. For novel_machinist and whitemage, my favorite Veld and Elfe RPers.

Notes: Yeah, timeline may be a TAD screwy, but I always thought Shera was older than Cid, and she can't be older than 20 here. And yes, I'm sure that Scarlet is much older than she looks in canon. Written for a Lu challenge, but for some reason came out in Shera's POV. Shera here is somewhat based on girls I knew in my department in undergrad.
