Summary: Edge seeks advice from Edward concerning his wooing techniques.
Notes: Written for the FF Kissbattle Playing with the fact that Edge's real name is also Edward.
"Edward is a strong and noble name."
"I'm a ninja, Edge is a much stronger name for a ninja. Edward sounds like I should be some insufferable romantic."
Edward gave him the most pointed look he could manage, which might have scared Porom when she was younger. Maybe. "It seems to me that the bravado isn't doing you much good with the fairer sex."
After all, it had been Edge that had come to him, complaining yet again about the latest creative rebuttal to his overtures that Rydia had given him. If Edge weren't Eblan royalty, Edward had half a mind to ask one of his advisers if he could tax the young man.
"Naw, I know she likes me. I mean, it's not like she's set me on fire or anything."
He did have a point. There was that one unfortunate gentleman caller that had made the mistake of commenting on Rydia's manner of dress and offering her coins. It had taken two white mages to fix what she'd done to him.
"Clearly you are not providing all that she needs. You need to balance the banter with something else."
Edge shifted, letting Edward know that he was onto something.
"Oh yeah?"
Edward sighed, pulled down Edge's ridiculous face cloth, and demonstrated precisely why it was more than just his voice that wooed ladies. Edge made a gagging sound at first, but then decided to actually get something from the kiss, and pay attention to the lesson.
"That is what you're missing."
Edge nodded, and looked around uncomfortably.
"Oh, and seriously let her call you your real name and stop fighting with her about it. It's a sign of endearment."
